To me, my involvement in Photography and Art in a nutshell is total passion. I was born in 1973 in Renton, Washington. I began shooting since I was 8 years old(roughly). I attended the Art Institute of Seattle in January 1993 to December 1994 and studied Commercial Photography and received a Associate of Applied Arts degree. I studied all aspects of Photography and Art. I photographed anything from ships to rusty wheelbarrows. In commercial photography there is an image people want to see that's comfortable and enjoyable. Along with my ambition to shoot Black and White and the creativity around Commercial Photography I had unique styles of photography people wanted to see. Images I couldn't beleive that came from me. I have photographed everywhere in the U.S. and Canada. My favorite Places to shoot is New Mexico, Banff and New York.

I currently live in New England and have just ended my enlistment in the Navy. I have currently established a Freelance Photography and independent Web developing with Web/Multimedia company in March 2001. I plan to market most of the work I have created throughout exhibits, stock photography, Coffee shops and the internet. I built a website www.jmnelson.net to promote my work for clients to claim interest into my photography and web design. It's been a very successful tool so far.
