Jerry Olson is a North Dakota Native, and has been a Photographer and Artist
for the past 35 years. He was a Photorapher's mate in the U.S. Navy between
1960-1964, where he first served at the Naval Air Station in Beevile Texas,
then at the Subic Bay Photo Lab in the Phillipines, and finally aboard the
U.S.S. Aircraft Carrier Oriskany as a Photgrapher's Mate Petty Officer.
He attended the University of North Dakota in Preparation for his training at
The Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara California, where he
earned a Bachelor's Degree in Professional Arts. He has been a Photographer and
Graphic Artist at the University of North Dakota for the past 31 years.
He has been taking Landscape Photographs for nearly 35 years, and is now
Printing all his photographs digitally as permanent pigment carbon prints, on
archival papers. Many of his pieces are montages, assembled in Photoshop.
