My interest in photography began when I was 18 years
old.(23 now) Throughout many hikes I wanted to be
able to communicate to others the beautiful moments in
time that I was so lucky to witness. When My first
results were awful, I began to study what made the
difference between a great image, and one that is
lackluster. Also note that I never had anyone "teach"
me how to take great pictures. My motivation comes
from many places, mostly from within, and
photographers famous photographers such as Ansel Adams
and many more.
My first camera was a Cannon Rebel G, I was 19 at the
time. More money and time and I'm now at the point
where I am now, and I'm still learning. I've started
shooting large format 4x5 images on a speed graphics
camera.
I have just one more year to go as an Economics major
at Southern Oregon University, which also is my only
client. Like many other photographers, it is my hope
to be able to be one of the lucky few who can become
successful doing it for a living, while also not
losing touch with actually enjoying what I'm doing, in
otherwords, I don't want to make photography something
that goes from a true love and passion, to frustration
becuase of the business side of it.
