My 22-year career as a photojournalist has taken me to more than 30 countries, and a half-dozen wars and conflict zones. My love of nature photography provides a welcome respite from the harsh realties raging in the world today. But, think of it not as an escape, but rather as a realization that nature can provide for us a common unification which knows no boundaries, race, creed, color or nationality. It is as close as our willingness to find it. My photographs represent my desire to provide at least one small light for that vision. --David Leeson
