I have always been facinated by the idea that a photographer is really a historian with a camera, taking one second and dividing it into 8000 parts and using one of these parts to create a photograph, freezing time and preserving forever a moment that can never be repeated. This is what makes photography such an exciting and wonderful medium.
I love to shoot black and white photographs because it offers a stark and often brutal contrast to a world which the human eye sees in such beautiful colors.
