Calvary Christian Church

Founded in 1991 by Pastor Raymond Deshomme.

Original building was made of banana leaves.

Early congregation was approximately 12 people in a formerly all voodo village.

Building is now made of concrete block and houses the church, school and medical clinics.

During the yearly pastor-leadership conferences (coordinated by Pastor Gary Tustin of the Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship, Johnstown, PA and Pastor Raymond Deshomme), the entire building is used as a venue for the conference. The average participation of the conference is approximately 150 people: the year 2000 was the 7th yearly conference.

Periodic revivals support attendances of approx. 250-300 people.

Average church attendance is now 175-200 people/week.

Future plans: To have a trade school built on the (future) second story, so older students may be able to learn a trade.
