The Virtual Reference Desk is a compilation of hundreds
of links to photography-related websites on the Internet.
Everything from photo organizations to photography schools,

How is the Reference Desk Organized?

several of which contain appropriate sub-catagories within
them. The "Desk", as we like to call it, is referenced
in a directory structure, which makes finding information
very quick and easy.

I Know of a Good Link for the Desk.
Can You Add it?
Sure, we can. One of our goals at Profotos.com is to supply
photographers with the information they need to help them
succeed in their photography. The suggestions from our visitors
and members are one of the best ways we can help our photographer
friends. If you know of a good link for any of the categories
in the "Desk" email us at: support@profotos.com
and tell us about it.

Do You Recommend any Photography
Schools?
We cannot recommend any photography schools/institutions
on Profotos.com, simply because of our advertising interests
on the site. It would not be fair to our advertisers, if
some members of our staff were partial to a school and decided
to recommend it on Profotos.com, even if the school was
not supporting our Site. However, Profotos.com does recommend
the New
York Institute of Photography (NYIP) as a viable option
to traditional learning, through distance education. Mr.
Davis has taken classes from NYIP
and he is thoroughly convinced that they have one of the
"best things going" in at-home education.

All of the photography information sites we are aware of

the Best sites in our listings, when we made the
Reference Desk. You will find dozens of sites in
the "Desk", which may be just what you need.
